Again on eBay I found the Motorola LSAD-100 which is a power supply for the LST-series transceivers. As can be seen in the pictures below its a pretty compact converter. It converts either 11 to 30VDC or 110/230VAC to the 28VDC output. It is powered through a circular MS connector (MS3114E14-5P) and deliver power to the transceiver through a 9way D-sub connector.

I knew that this power supply did not work. As can be seen in the pictures one of the components is burned to a crisp. I figure this part of the power supply is the DC conditioning just before the transceiver. The other end of the power supply is the AC to DC conveter. This part is working fine at both 110VAC and 230VAC. So I have considered making some kind of "homemade" power supply out of this.
